Theories and History of Play Therapy

Theories and History of Play Therapy are a part of the continuing education requirements to become a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). We will explore the origins of today’s major play therapy approaches and historical contributions of professionals in the field. This workshop will ground you in play therapy theories so that you understand how they drive the play therapy approaches you use. With knowledge of current play therapy theories and supporting research you can make thoughtful and deliberate interventions with children.
